The Himachal Health Care Scheme or Himcare Scheme aims to provide free cashless treatment to the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Benefits

Cashless treatment coverage of Rs. 5.00 lakh per year per family will be provided under the scheme on family floater basis subject to maximum of five members per family unit. In case family size exceeds five members, the remaining members can be enrolled as a separate unit subject to the capping of five members for each such addition unit. The treatment will be provided on the basis of pre-defined package rates in the empanelled hospitals.

Eligibility Criteria

Following category of people are eligible for Himcare scheme.

  • BPL Category people

  • Registered Street Vendors

  • Ekal Naaris

  • More than 40% disabled

  • Senior Citizens above 70 years of age

  • Anganwari Workers/Helpers

  • ASHA workers

  • Mid-Day meal workers

  • Contractual Employees

  • Daily Wage Worker

  • Part time Workers

  • Beneficiaries under HP Universal Health Protection Scheme

  • Beneficiaries not included in the above categories/non–government servants and their dependents

Documents Required

  • Aadhar Card

  • Ration Card

  • Proof of category.

    • For BPL Category - Copy of BPL certificate attested by the Panchayat Secretary within previous one month.

    • For Registered Street Vendors - Registration Certificate attested by the Executive Officer, MC/NP/NAC within previous one month 

    • For Ekal Naaris - Certificate to be issued by Child Development Program Officer (CDPO) of the concerned area and shall include Widows/Divorced/Legally Separated /Unmarried more than 40 years.

    • For More than 40% disabled persons - Medical Disability Certificate showing permanent disability.

    • For Senior Citizen aged 70 years and above - a valid age proof.

    • For Anganwari Workers and Helpers - Certificate from Child Development Program Officer (CDPO) of the concerned area.

    • For ASHA Workers - Certificate from Block Medical Officer (BMO) of the concerned area.

    • For Mid – Day Meal Workers -Certificate from Block Elementary Education Officer of the concerned area.

    • For Contractual Employees, Daily Wage Worker, Part Time WorkersCertification from concerned Department.

Online Application

The beneficiary can apply for the scheme through nearest Lok Mitra Kendra (LMK) /Common Service Centres (CSC). For online registration, follow the below steps.

  • Enter Ration Card No.,Social Group Type (General,OBC,SC,ST),Locality/Short Address, Mobile Number, Category

  • Upload category proof and front and back side of ration card.

  • Enter dependent details.

  • Enter captcha and submit it. You will get a Unique Reference Number (URN) to track the status of the scheme.

  • Applicant can make online payment after that.

Enrollment Status

Follow the below steps to check the enrollment status.

  • Click on "Himcare Enrollment". Select "Himcare Enrollment Status".

  • Enter your unique reference number /ration card number to track the status of your enrollment.

Himcare Card

  • After the approval of enrolment from back-end, the beneficiary will receive SMS regarding his enrolment and he/she will be able to download/generate the Himcare card under the scheme.

  • Option to generate the Himcare card at hospital level shall also remain available.

Beneficiary whose application is approved under Himcare can only get thier Himcare card. Follow the below steps to download Himcare card.

  • Click on "Himcare Enrollment". Select "Get my Himcare Card".

  • Enter the URN/Ration card number/Aadhaar to download it.

Premium

Following premium shall be collected from beneficiaries at the time of enrollment under Him Health Care Scheme based on the categories defined below:

  • BPL Category people - INR 0

  • Registered Street Vendors - INR 0

  • Ekal Naaris - INR 350 per year

  • More than 40% disabled - INR 350 per year

  • Sr. Citizens above 70 years of age - INR 350 per year

  • Anganwari Workers/Helpers - INR 350 per year

  • ASHA workers - INR 350 per year

  • Mid-Day meal workers - INR 350 per year

  • Contractual Employees - INR 350 per year

  • Daily Wage Worker - INR 350 per year

  • Part time Workers - INR 350 per year

  • Beneficiaries under HP Universal Health Protection Scheme - INR 1000 per year

  • Beneficiaries not included in the above categories/non–government servants and their dependents - INR 1000 per year

Fees

The CSC/LMK will collect Rs. 50/- per family from the beneficiaries for enrollment and uploading the documents under the scheme. After the approval message is received, the beneficiary can get his/her card printed from the concerned CSC/LMK within the user fee of Rs. 50/- initially given to the CSC/LMK.

Renewal

The enrollment/renewal shall be open only for three months in a year i.e. from January to March to avoid the issues of adverse selection. The policy period for individual beneficiary household shall commence from the date of approval of enrollment/renewal till the expiry of twelve months.

The beneficiary will be informed through SMS on registered mobile along with policy renewal link for renewal of policy 15 days before the expiry of policy period.

Hospital Empanelment

The hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat will stand automatically empanelled for HIMCARE and package rates of Ayushman Bharat (customized for the state by HPSBYS) will be adopted for this scheme.

  • Enter District and Speciality to see the list of hospitals empanelled under Himcare scheme.

HIMCARE Sathi

Under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna, the hospitals have engaged Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitra who are responsible for Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) and working on Transaction Management System (TMS) for implementation of Ayushman Bharat. These PMAM will also look after the work of Him Health Care Scheme and they may be designated as HIMCARE SATHI for the said scheme.

Last date

Last date to apply for Himcare scheme is 20 June 2019.

Normally, the enrollment/renewal shall be open only for three months in a year i.e. from January to March to avoid the issues of adverse selection. The policy period for individual beneficiary household shall commence from the date of approval of enrollment/renewal till the expiry of twelve months.
