Is pokkuvaru done in village or land tax receipt a proof of my ownership of my land in Kerala?

The Apex Court itself has pointed out in several judgments that mutation (transfer of registry/ pokkuvaravu) relating to land do not confer ownership rights in the land.

That is, mutation and Thandapper are only means for the Government to levy land tax from the holder of the land.

None of these are conclusive proof of ownership of land.
