By registration, any transaction of immovable property will become a permanent public record. Those getting transfer of property should verify whether such property has been previously encumbered. According to the Transfer of Property Act right, title or interest can be acquired only if the deed is registered.

Pre-registration Procedure

The user has to prepare the document to be registered using Public Data Entry system and upload the required documents. A Public Data Entry facility is provided to the citizen to enable him to provide details of important information of the document before it is presented for registration before the concerned Sub-Registrar. By this, the information is going to be accurate and it will be used during the registration process. It will reduce the waiting time of the citizen in the Sub-Registrar Office greatly. Therefore, the parties are requested to use this facility and give correct details so that indexes are properly created leading to correct encumbrances on the properties.
