സിവിൽ നടപടി ക്രമം സെക്ഷൻ 24 പ്രകാരം ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ ട്രാൻസ്ഫർ ഹർജി സമർപ്പിച്ചാൽ, ന്യായമായ കാരണങ്ങളാണെങ്കിൽ ഒരു ജില്ലയിലെ കുടുംബ കോടതിയിൽ നിന്നും കേസ്, കക്ഷിക്കോ/ കക്ഷികൾക്കോ അനുയോജ്യമായ മറ്റൊരു ജില്ലയിലെ കുടുംബ കോടതിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി തരുവാൻ കോടതിക്ക് അധികാരമുണ്ട്.
