വിദേശത്തു നടക്കുന്ന മരണം ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്‌ നിയമത്തില്‍ വ്യവസ്ഥയില്ല. 1969 ലെ ജനന മരണ രജിസ്ട്രേഷന്‍ നിയമത്തിലെ 20(2) -ാം വകുപ്പിലെ പ്രത്യേക വ്യവസ്ഥ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പൗരന്മാര്‍ക്ക്‌ വിദേശത്തു ജനിക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികളുടെ ജനനരജിസ്ട്രേഷനു മാത്രമാണ്‌ ബാധകം.
