YES. A valid Indian Passport is mandatory as a Proof of Identity (PoI) for NRI applicants.
You may choose to give any other Indian Address with a valid supporting Proof of Address (PoA) as per the list of documents acceptable by UIDAI here.

After creating account, it showed that my addhaar document is not linked from UIDAI. When I tried to link, it showed that my adhaar is already linked with another account. To access that account I tried option of forgot security pin but it sent otp on my recently registered mobile number and I was again back to recently created account to which I can't link addhaar. What to do? I didn't created the account that is already linked with aadhaar. Is it automatically created by UIDAI? If so how to get access to that now when I created another one.
Seems you created two accounts with DigiLocker, One is linked with Aadhaar and other is linked with mobile number.

Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) . Answered on December 04,2022I have created my baby's Digilocker account. However, when I am trying to fetch the doc, the error says: cannot be uploaded. The aadhar is present under the issued doc as well as drive section.
To fetch any document in your DigiLocker account, your document name should exactly match with your Aadhaar name.
