I have a Hyundai Santro 2005 model registered in Trivandrum. Now I want to change the registration to Bangalore. Since it's going to be 15 years I need to do a fitness test of the vehicle too. As per my knowledge, during the time of renewal, if your vehicle is registered in a particular State, you need to get it renewed from the concerned RTO at that State. 

For re-registration of vehicle in Bangalore, you need to pay Life Time Tax (LTT) or Road Tax.  LTT is calculated based on the price of vehicle and also on the age of vehicle. Life time of vehicle is assumed to be 15 years, so older your vehicle, lesser LTT you need to pay.

You can use this calculator to calculate the road tax to be paid in Karnataka.

Additional Charges include the following.

Issued of New Registration Certificate for Non Transport Vehicle : INR 600

Change of Residence: INR 300

Note: In case of delay in submitting ‘No Objection Certificate’ for change of residence, an additional fee of rupees three hundred for delay of each month or part thereof in case of motor cycles and five hundred rupees for each month of delay or part thereof for other vehicles shall be levied
