FASTag balances are non-transferable inter-bank. You have to raise a surrender request with the old FASTag issuer bank & then your unused amount will be refunded back to you. Then you may use your new tag seamlessly.

Answered on March 14,2024I applied for a new Fastag from the bank , right now it is showing as Active (not Blacklisted) in their website but did not received a physical card yet and said it will take 10 working days to receive physical but i got a requirement to travel immediately. so in this case , can i purchase instant fastag at toll plaza and start using? can i deactivate bank issued Fastag once i received it?
Shall contact the issuer bank to expedite the delivery, and process to surrender the tag on as is basis.
