How to get my new VID no based on my Aadhar number?

Resident can generate a new VID through UIDAI’s resident portal, e-Aadhaar download, Aadhaar Enrolment centre, mAadhaar mobile application and UIDAI's in-bound SMS Service. Resident should note that only one VID will remain valid within one calendar date i.e. from 00:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs and can only be changed in the next date.

1. For resident Portal, resident has to visit the URL -> https://resident.uidai.gov.in/web/resident/vidgeneration 

2. Whenever resident downloads his/her e-Aadhaar, resident will obtain his/her VID in it

3. Resident can go to nearest PEC and obtain his VID

4. Resident can log in to his/her m-Aadhaar application, create a profile and request for VID generation

5. Resident has to send an SMS "GVIDLast four digits of UID to 1947 from his/her registered mobile number to obtain VID
