Following documents are required to get marriage certificate in Delhi.

  1. Identity Proof of Groom ( Any One is mandatory) –
    • Aadhaar Card
    • PAN Card
    • Ration Card with Photo
    • Voter ID Card
    • Passport
    • Driving License
    • Any Govt. recognized document
  1. Identity Proof of Bride (Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no.1 above.
  2. Residence proof of groom in Delhi after marriage : ( Any One is mandatory) –
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Voter ID Card
    • Driving License
    • Passport
    • Ration Card
    • Rent Agreement (Registered )
    • Bank Passbook
    • Electricity Bill
    • Water Bill
    • Telephone Bill(Landline or Post-paid)
    • Gas Bill
    • Any Govt. recognized document
  1. Residence proof of bride in Delhi after marriage: (Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no.3 above.
  2. Permanent residence proof of groom before marriage : ( Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no. 3 above
  3. Permanent residence proof of bride before marriage : ( Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no. 3 above
  4. Date of Birth Proof of Groom(Any One is mandatory)

  2. Identity Proof of Witness I (Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no.1 above.
  3. Identity Proof of Witness II (Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no. 1 above.
  4. Permanent Residence proof of Witness I in Delhi: (Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no. 3 above.
  5. Permanent Residence proof of Witness II in Delhi: (Any One is mandatory) – Same as listed in point no. 3 above.
  6. Divorce decree/order (Mandatory, only if Divorced)
  7. Death Certificate of spouse (Mandatory, only if Widower/widow)
  8. Certificate from the concerned Embassy regarding his or her present marital status and nationality (Mandatory, Only if Bride and/or Groom having foreign nationality).
  9. Certificate from Priest, Pandit, Maulvi or Gurudwara Prabandhak etc. of marriage solemnized at religious place
  10. Affidavit (It has to be notarized and should be on Rs. 10/- Non-judicial e-stamp paper as per the prescribed format)
  11. One Passport size Coloured Photograph of the Beneficiary (Size 5cm x 4.5cm Or 2”x1.75”)
    • Should include full face, front view and open eyes
    • Should be of full head from top of hair to shoulder
    • Should be in a plain white or off-white background
    • Shouldn’t be shadows on the face or background
    • Should have a natural expression (closed mouth)
    • Should not include sunglasses or hats

Note:

  • Self-attested copy of the original document to be produced while applying at Citizen Service Centre (CSC) and if applying online then document are to be uploaded in e-District application software. Physical verification of some documents may be necessary at the counter even in case of online applications.
  • Scanned copy of original Affidavit from both the bride and groom have to be uploaded while applying online and original Affidavit to be submitted to the concerned SDM/Tehsildar/CSC by hand or speed post/registered post along with Application /Acknowledgement number .
  • The bride and groom or any of his family member should be present at the CSC for photograph or submit his/her photograph. In case of online application, bride and groom photograph must be uploaded (As per specifications above)
  • The bride & groom along with two witnesses with their ID Proofs have to physically present in the office of the registrar on the date of the appointment
