Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme in West Bengal

Under the Karma Sathi Prakalpa scheme, the state government has set a target of providing loans to one lakh youths every year. Each beneficiary can avail of a loan up to Rs 2 lakh under the scheme. Apart from loans, the state government will also provide subsidies for taking up new projects.

Objectives of Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme

• To facilitate intending or prospective entrepreneurs of the state in setting up new manufacturing enterprises and small businesses including services and trading.

• To create gainful self-employment opportunity in both rural and urban areas of the state.

• This scheme aims to provide financial assistance and help passionate and prospective young entrepreneurs to start their own business as a self-employed youth who will become an employer in the future and generate more employment.

• Under the scheme, soft loan and subsidy will be provided for taking up any new income-generating project in the manufacturing, service, and trading/business sector up to Rs. 2 lakhs.

• The Karma Sathi loan will be provided by the State-owned Cooperative Bank on soft terms.

• The scheme will commence from the date of Gazette Notification and shall remain in force for a period of three years thereafter.

Eligibility Crieria of Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme

Any interesting resident of West Bengal with new income-generating activity taken up for self-employment, age between 18-50 and class VII pass as minimum educational qualification can register through this online portal.

How to apply online for Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme ?

Click on the "Login" link a popup page will appear on the screen. Click on the "Register Here" link. A user registration input form will appear, please enter profile detail and click on the "Register" button. An OTP is to be sent in your mobile number. An input field is to be appear where user will have to input the OTP for activate the user profile. OTP session is 60 sec.

The following information are required to fill up during form submission- Applicant Full Name, Father's / Mother's / Guardian's Name, Applicant Date of Birth, Gender, Full Address for communication and project location, Education Qualification, Applicant Category (SC/ST/PHC/OBC/Minority/General), Project Name, Project Cost, Co-operative Bank Name & Address. Supporting Documents Required to upload for application form submission - Proof of Photo identity of the applicant, Proof of Residence, Educational Qualification Certificate, Detailed Project Report, Recent Passport Size Photograph and Applicant Signature.

Karma Sathi Prakalpa: Model Schemes/Projects : "Own Contribution 5%"

The applicant whose project is finally sanctioned under the scheme will be required to pay his/her own contribution in the following manner:

a) Project cost up to Rs. 50.000: 5% of the project cost for all categories of applicant

b) Project cost above Rs. 50,000: 5% of the project cost for SC/ST/Woman/Differently abled/ Minority Communities and 10% of the project cost for others.

Karma Sathi Prakalpa: Model Schemes/Projects : "Own Contribution 10%"

The applicant whose project is finally sanctioned under the scheme will be required to pay his/her own contribution in the following manner:

a) Project cost up to Rs. 50.000: 5% of the project cost for all categories of applicant

b) Project cost above Rs. 50,000: 5% of the project cost for SC/ST/Woman/Differently abled/ Minority Communities and 10% of the project cost for others.

Fees Required

No, there is no requirement for the submission of fees for online registration.

Track Status

After successfully logged in, the Applicant can see a link "Details" on the Dashboard. Click on the "Details" link. An applicant can view the application status after successful submission of online application form.
