Why should I get an NOC for bringing my vehicle to Bangalore ?

If you intend to stay in Bangalore for more than 11 months, then you have to apply for change of address of vehicle and get it re-registered in Bangalore. To apply for the change of address, you have to get a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the home state RTO where the vehicle is registered.
Following documents are required for NOC.
- Registration certificate
- Insurance certificate
- Pollution Under Control certificate
- Consent of Financier on CMV form 28 (if the vehicle is covered by Hypothecation, HPA or a lease agreement)
- Permit and fitness certificate (applicable for commercial vehicles)
- Pencil print of the chassis number for the CMV 28 form
- Photo identity and address proof

Now, the RC expired in June 2015 and bike continues to be in Chennai, unable to be renewed as RTO says I need to cancel NOC in KA. I would like to know which option is better and cost effective ? a) Receive NoC cancellation from KA (Fine ? ) and renew RC in Chennai b) Take bike to KA and apply for Re-Registration with Old NoC - expecting hefty fine, Road Tax etc. (Fine per month post NoC expiry would help) Limitation : In Chennai, unable to get PUC with invalid RC
Get "not registered" letter from KA and TN RTO only can help you in this issue.

I applied for NOC to transfer the vehicle to Bangalore. But I had to shift my car to Kerala my home state due to personal reasons. So I wanted to cancel the NOC. The agents who delayed the procedure quite insincerely say that I have to go to Pune RTO with the car and submit request to cancel the NOC. Quite difficult as I have my small baby and can't travel that far to Pune. Can anyone guide me properly, what I should do to cancel the NOC ?

But when i do the same thing mparivahan app I am getting the details of my vehicles registration number. Why is it so?

I don't have NOC from there. I'm not using it now. Can I do RC extension online? If I want to change registration to Bangalore, what is the procedure? Else if I want to scrap it, will I get any amount?
You can do it only at Tamilnadu, original registering authority.

So I am planning to vacate and came back to Kerala. I am planning to take my bike registered in Karnataka along with me. I know that if the bike is staying for more than 12 months I need to re register in any RTO office in Kerala. But I may need to go back after 5 or 6 months . So my question is do i need to notify RTO regarding this.Also is there any amount is to be paid to ride the vehicle in Kerala such as entry tax or road tax for staying less than 12 months in kerala?Also do i need NOC from Karnataka?

I have moved to my home town Palakkad last year and applied for NOC from the Bangalore RTO. Even though the NOC was issued in March 2021. I received the original documents now. What is the process and documents required to now complete the RC transfer to Palakkad RTO? My driving license is issued from Palakkad. Can I use that as my address proof?

Answered on January 01,2022Recently I sold my two wheeler vehicle to someone in Bangalore RTO and I wanted to transfer the ownership to the buyer but when I try to do through the website I'm getting alert message stating "you have already applied for transfer of ownership and application number" as I never applied for transfer before and I have all orginal documents of the vehicle with me.
May be the second buyer would have attempted and quit.
