No,
Gift Deed can be executed without Khata.
Khata is not mandatory to execute gift deed in sub-registrar office, one can execute gift deed without even khata
But Donee needs to cover the Khata cost fee of Doner when donee apply for Khata transfer
For example: When donee apply for khata transfer, donee needs to pay the khata fee for him/herself + Khata fee of doner. (so double the khata fee applicable)

Answered on November 30,2021Khata transfer applied online through Sakala 19 Sep 2021, application status says Approved and Remarks mentioned as Khata certificate and Extract Issued, but only uthara patra uploaded in place of both Khata Certificate and Khata Extract, when approached local BBMP office, no Khata Certificate or Extract is ready, they have asked me to approach next week with all the relevant documents again, unable to appeal in Sakala Portal for the GSC number. How to proceed?
