YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST (YET) is for selection of eligible candidates for award of scholarship to candidates studying in Class IX and Class XI in identified Schools under the YASASVI Scheme.

The test is an Objective type test comprising Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will have 4 possible answer options. Candidate will be required to mark any one of the options that he/she considers as the correct or the most appropriate answer.

The test will be conducted in Paper Pen Mode (OMR). The test comprises Multiple Choice questions. 

Eligibility Criteria of Yasasvi Entrance Test

  • Applicants should be Indian Nationals.

  • Candidate should belong to OBC or EBC or DNT category.

  • Candidate applying for Class 9 should be born between 01-04-2007 to 31-03-2011 (both days inclusive).

  • Candidate applying for Class 11 should be born between 01-04-2005 to 31-03-2009 (both days inclusive).

  • Income of the parents or guardian of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum.

  • Should be studying in Class IX or Class XI in the Identified Schools.

  • Should have passed Class VIII or Class X during the academic year 2022-23.

Documents Required for Yasasvi Entrance Test

Following are the documents required for Yasasvi Entrance Test.

  • Passport size Photograph

  • Signature

  • Category Certificate

  • Family Income Certificate

  • Aadhar Card

  • PwD certificate, if applicable

The Exam will be of Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions:

How to apply for Yasasvi Entrance Test ?

Fill in the basic information and note down the system-generated Application No.

Visit Yasasvi Entrance Test website.

If you are a New Candidate, Click on "New Candidate, Register Here".

Login to portal.

Step I: Registration Page

(i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name: Provide Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name as given in the School records

(ii) Date of Birth: dd/mm/yyyy Provide Candidate’s date of birth as recorded in School records

(iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address: Candidates must provide own Mobile Number or that of their parents/guardian and email address.

Note: Only one e-mail address and one Mobile Number are valid for one application

Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form

(i) Provide complete postal address with PIN Code (Correspondence Address as well as Permanent Address) for further correspondence.

PIN code of Correspondence Address should be given in the space provided for this purpose.

Note: The NTA shall not be responsible for any delay/loss in postal transit or for an incorrect Correspondence address given by the Applicant in the Application Form.

Choice of Cities for Examination Centres:

Candidates to select four cities of their choice while filling Online Application Form of YET-2023.

Effort will be made to allot Centre of Examination to the candidates in order of the City/District choice opted by them in their Application Form.

However, due to administrative reasons, a different city/district of nearby area may be allotted. Allotment of Centre is made by computer and there is no human intervention. Choices once exercised will not be changed under any circumstances.

NTA reserves the right to allot a candidate to a nearby exam city, other than the one opted by him/her, if need be depending on administrative exigencies. NTA reserves the right to cancel/ merge any exam city/centre if need be, depending on administrative exigencies.

The Examination City Centre, once opted, shall not be changed. The decision of the NTA regarding allotment of Centre, Date and Shift shall be final. No further correspondence or request shall be entertained in such case.

Uploading of scanned images

(i) Candidate’s Photograph: to be uploaded

  • Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Photograph should cover 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.

  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.

  • Polaroid and Computer generated photos are not acceptable. • Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.

  • Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph uploaded is fabricated i.e. de- shaped or seems to be hand-made or computer made, the form of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means and the candidate would be dealt with accordingly.

  • Application without photograph shall be rejected. The photograph need not be attested. Candidates are advised to take 6 to 8 passport size coloured photographs with white background.

Note: Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading on Online Application Form and also for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination centre.

  • The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.

(ii) Candidate’s Signature: to be uploaded

The candidates are required to upload the full signature in running hand writing in the appropriate box given in the Online Application Form. Writing full name in the Box in Capital letters would not be accepted as signature and the Application Form would be rejected. Further, unsigned Online Application Forms will also be rejected.

  • The candidate should put his full signature on white paper with Blue/Black Ink pen and scan for uploading.

  • File size must be between 04 kb to 30 kb. Note: Candidate must ensure that the uploaded images are clear and proper.

(iii) Category & Income Certificate to be uploaded

  • Category Certificate will have to be uploaded in the PDF format along with the Application Form (size should be between 50 kb to 300 kb).

  • In case the Category is not available at the time of submission of Online Application, an Undertaking to the effect that the candidate will produce the Category at the time of document verification.

(iv) Income Certificate to be uploaded

  • Income certificates will have to be uploaded in the PDF format along with the Application Form (size should be between 50 kb to 300 kb).

  • In case the Income Certificate is not available at the time of submission of Online Application, an Undertaking to the effect that the candidate will produce the Income Certificate at the time of document verification.

Note:

  • Candidates are advised to verify the correctness of the information provided by them by previewing the online application form before pressing submit button. If required candidates may edit their application form before submission.

  • Only one application should be submitted by a candidate.

  • Once finally submitted, details filled in certain specific fields may be changed only during correction window. After that no communication in this regard will be entertained.

  • Registration will be treated as complete when the application is submitted.

Important Points to Note:

  • The candidate should not give the postal address, Mobile number or email ID of any coaching centre or internet café in the online application form.

  • Online Application Form cannot be withdrawn once it is submitted successfully.

  • Application Form of candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria shall be rejected.

  • A candidate is allowed to submit only one Application Form. If a candidate submits more than one Application Form, the candidature is likely to be cancelled.

  • Request for change in any particular in the Application Form shall not be entertained after closing of the correction window/period.

  • In case a candidate is found providing incorrect information or the identity is proved to be false at any time in the future, the candidate shall face penal action as per the law.

  • The Candidates are not required to send/ submit the confirmation page of Online Application Form to the NTA. However, he/she is advised to retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence:

(i) Candidate must note down his/her Application Number, Email ID, Mobile Number registered during online submission of Application Form.

(ii) Printouts of the Confirmation Page of Online Application Form. (ii) Photographs (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form).

(iii) Copy of Admit Card

The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit Card. If the name has been changed, candidate must show the relevant document at the time of exam.

The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website: https://yet/nta.ac.in, subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions.

The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website. The candidate will appear in the examination at the given Centre on the date and timing as indicated in his/her e-Admit Card.

No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination Centre, other than that allotted to him/her in his/her Admit Card.

In case a candidate is unable to download his/her Admit Card from the website, he/she should approach the NTA Help Line Number: 011-40759000, 011- 6922 7700 between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm or write to us at yet@nta.ac.in

The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and strictly follow them during the examination.

In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signature shown in the e-Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate may immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm.

In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later. 

Items permitted inside the test hall for Yasasvi Entrance Test

You are permitted to carry the following items to the test centre:

  • Admit card downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.

  • A simple transparent Blue/Black Ball Point Pen.

  • 02 Additional passport size photographs, to be pasted on the Admit Card and Attendance Sheet.

  • Personal transparent water bottle Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic

  • Valid and original Photo ID proof

Evaluation Methodology of Yasasvi Entrance Test

Responses will be processed based on the answer keys verified and finalised.

There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.

NTA shall address discrepancies if any in the following Manner:

  • If more than one option are found to be correct, post challenge or during key verification - Marks will be awarded to only those candidates who have attempted any one of the correct options.

  • If none of the options is correct/Question is found to be wrong – All students who appeared in the exam would be awarded full marks.

PwD candidates

PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities are eligible for compensatory time (Extra time) at the rate of 20 minutes for each hour of exam.

In other words, in this exam, PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities will be eligible for 1 hour extra time. They are also eligible for a scribe if they have a limitation to write the exam and upload a certificate to that effect from the prescribed Medical Authority. Candidates are required to indicate their status and whether they need a scribe or not in their application form while applying.

NTA will provide a scribe. Candidates are not allowed to bring their own scribe.

If I commit an error in writing my roll number on my OMR answer sheet, what should I do? How do I correct it?
You should be careful while filling the details on your OMR answer sheet. In case you commit an error in writing the details, inform the invigilator in the room immediately. However, the OMR answer sheet will not be replaced.
Can I take the OMR answer sheet with me after the conclusion of the exam?
No. You are required to handover your OMR answer sheet to the invigilator after the conclusion of the exam, before leaving.
Will I get an opportunity to view my responses, the questions and the answers? Will I get an opportunity to challenge the answers, in case I feel that the answer to any question is incorrect, in my opinion?
After the conduct of test, the scanned OMR answer sheets of candidates will be made available on the NTA website. Exact date of display of scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets, would be communicated after the examination on NTA website. Candidates will be able to view their respective OMR answer sheet and in case they want to make any representation against the OMR grading, they can do so free of cost. After exam, experts shall verify the answer keys for the question paper administered. NTA will display the Questions and Provisional Answer Keys on the NTA website, on a date communicated to candidates through NTA website and public notice/press release in advance. Candidates, who are not satisfied with the answer key, may challenge by filling online application form through the given window free of cost. Applications received by hand or by fax or email will not be considered. Experts test the challenges received, and if needed key is revised. The result will be compiled on the basis of final answer keys. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after declaration of result will be entertained. The NTA’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained. Candidates are advised to remain in touch with the NTA website www.nta.ac.in or https://yet.nta.nic.in for the exact dates and other updates.
If I have made any mistake(s) while registering/applying, can I make changes later in the Application Form?
Once you have submitted the form, details provided in the Application Form cannot be edited/changed. However, NTA shall open the “Correction Window” as per the schedule and Correction in particulars of Application Form can be incorporated on the website only during “Correction Window“. No corrections shall be allowed after the closure of correction window and all particulars entered by the candidate would be considered as final.
What should candidate do, when ‘continuous timeout’, ‘Server Error’ or ‘file not found error’ occurs while making correction in Application Form?
Use updated version of Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer and good internet connection while filling application form. In case of continuous time out, one can clear cookies and history of the browser and fill during off-peak hours.
Can I change my exam city after receiving Admit Card?
No, you will not be allowed to change your exam city once Admit Card has been issued. While applying candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allot city of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their application form. Please select your preferred choices carefully. However, NTA reserves the right to change the city based on the feasibility. The Examination City Centre, once opted, shall not be changed.
