This service enables you to transfer or assign the lease contract of Dubai Municipality properties to another entity, or transfer the lease contract from the legator to the heirs, or any amendments on the valid contract.

Documents Required to request for updating the lease contract of Dubai Municipality Properties and Spaces

  1. Lawful Succession Notice, and death certificate.

  2. Letter from the Dubai Courts approving the lease contract registration in the name of the heir(s).

  3. Ratified Power of Attorney from the heir(s) to the authorized signatory.

  • Pay the due fees.

  • Complete the procedure and receive the new contract by email.

  • Transfer/Assignment of leased properties: 10% of the rental value of the properties to be assigned

  • Lease Transfer to heirs: The service is Free.

  • Amendments on a valid contract information: 200 AED.

  • Knowledge and Innovation fees: 20 AED.

  • VAT: 5% from the overall value.

Terms and Conditions

  • Leased properties must be of the same type and in the same location, in case of exchange.

  • Keys of the leased properties must be submitted with the application, and the properties must be maintained in good conditions.

  • The assignee must be a UAE citizen, or an established company owned 100% by a citizen or a company with 51% of shares owned by a UAE citizen or GCC citizens.

  • The contract should be active before submitting a request .
