How to replace lost damaged Driving Licence in Dubai?

This service enables you to re-print your driving licence if it was lost or damaged.

Citizens and residents are eligible to apply for this service.

• Emirates ID.

How to replace lost damaged Driving Licence in Dubai?

Through Website

• The customer enters his Emirates ID or driving licence details.

• The system verifies the customer’s identity by sending an OTP to his registered phone number.

• The customer applies for Replacing a Lost/Damaged Driving Licence.

• The customer settles all required fees and fines by credit card.

• The customer receives a temporary driving licence by email while waiting for the original licence, which can be delivered through 2 channels:

  • Customer Happiness Centres in Deira or Al Barsha

  • Through the delivery service, the delivery fees are as follows:

    • Standard delivery 20 AED

    • Same day delivery 35 AED

    • Delivery within 2 hours 50 AED

    • International delivery 50 AED.

Through Smart Apps

• The customer enters the following information:

  • Driving licence number

  • Issue date

  • Birth year

  • Traffic code number.

• The customer specifies the reason for printing the driver's licence (lost or damaged)

• The customer settles all required fees and fines by credit card.

• The customer receives a temporary driving licence by email while waiting for the original licence, which can be delivered through 2 channels:

  • Customer Happiness Centres in Deira or Al Barsha

  • Through the delivery service, the delivery fees are as follows:

    • Standard delivery 20 AED

    • Same day delivery 35 AED

    • Delivery within 2 hours 50 AED

    • International delivery 50 AED.

Through Self Service Machines

• The customer enters the required information on the screen: the driving licence number, the driving licence issuing authority, the year of birth, the reason for reprinting the driving licence (lost or damaged).

• The driving licence details are displayed to the customer for verification and completion of the transaction.

• The customer settles the fines, if any.

• The customer settles the required fees.

• The customer prints the driving licence through the Self Service Machine.

Fees Required

• For customers younger than 21 years old: 100 AED

• For customers 21 years and older: 300 AED

• + 20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

Time Required

• 5 minutes.

Validity

The remaining validity period of the damaged or lost licence.

Terms and Conditions

• The customer must pay all the licence fines before applying to this service.

• The lost or damaged driving licence must not be expired.
