How to remove a vehicle from Salik Account?

This service enables you to remove a vehicle from your Salik account and to cancel the Salik tag of the relevant vehicle.

Eligibility Criteria

All owners of Salik accounts are eligible to apply for this service.

Documents Required

For individuals

  • Valid Emirates ID of the applicant if the ownership of the vehicle has not changed (only through Customer Happiness Centres and Salik Service Counters)

For companies

  • Valid Emirates ID of the applicant if the ownership of the vehicle has not changed (only through Customer Happiness Centres and Salik Service Counters)

  • Official letter signed and stamped from the company including the plates numbers and the Salik tags the customer wants to remove.

In case of selling the vehicle

  • Valid Emirates ID of the applicant.

How to remove a vehicle from Salik Account?

Through Website and Smart Application

  • The customer enters the username and password.

  • The customer selects the vehicle's section.

  • The customer clicks on Remove Vehicle under the icon of the vehicle to be removed.

Through Dubai Now App

  • The customer logs in to the Dubai Now App and selects Salik Accounts.

  • The customer selects manage vehicle section.

  • The customer selects the service of removing a vehicle.

Through Customer Happiness Centres and Salik Customer Service Counters

  • The customer fills in the vehicle removal form.

  • The vehicle is removed from the customer's account.

Through Salik Customer Service Representative:

  • The customer contacts Salik Call Centre on 80072545.

  • The customer requests the service of removing a vehicle.

  • The vehicle is removed from the account.

Through Salik Self Service through Salik Call Centre:

  • The customer logs in to his account.

  • The customer selects the service of removing a vehicle.

  • The vehicle is removed from the account.

Fees Required

  • This service is free.

Time Required

  • Website and Smart Application: 5 minutes

  • Customer Happiness Centres and Salik Customer Service Counters: 10 minutes

  • Call Centre: 5 minutes.

Validity

This service has no validity.

Terms and Conditions

  • If the customer sells his vehicle, he needs to remove the Salik tag from the sold vehicle and deactivate the tag from his Salik account immediately. Failure to do that will result in charging any toll fees incurred by the new vehicle's owner to his account and might turn into violations if there was no balance in the account.

  • In case of selling the vehicle and it is still under the company's name the customer must submit the following documents:

    • Valid trade licence

    • Authorised signature

    • Letterhead with the company stamp.
