How to apply for Recreational Fishing License (a Line and Hooks) from the coastline in Dubai?

This service enables to obtain a recreational fishing license using a line and hook only, that allows fishing from Dubai coast areas that mentioned in the license, according to the laws and legislations related to the Exploitation, Protection and Development of Living Water Resources in the UAE.

Documents Required

1. Proof of residence in Dubai (tenancy contract/residential property ownership)  or water and electricity bill. 

How to apply for Recreational Fishing License (a Line and Hooks) from the coastline in Dubai?

• Login to Dubai Municipality website.

• Apply for the service.

• Check Dubai Municipality's reply through the website (Approved/Rejected).

• Receive the online license (in case of approval).

• This service is free.

Terms and Conditions

• The license is valid for only 1 year, and it is renewable.

• This license allows you to fish in Al Mamzar creek, Al Maktoum (Bur Dubai side only), Creek Park & Al Garhoud Bridges (Diera side only) of Dubai Creek; Jumaira; and Umm Suqeim and Al Sufouh beaches.

• Recreational fishing licenses are issued for Dubai residents only, and the proof of residence is mandatory to process them.

• Children under 18 years of age are allowed to fish without a license according to Federal Law No. (23) Concerning the Exploitation, Protection and Development of Living Water Resources in Dubai.
