This service enables you to obtain a permit to obtain agricultural soil.

How to apply for a Permit to obtain Agricultural Soil in Dubai?

  • Login to Dubai Municipality website.

  • Contact the transport companies (optional through the link) or contact other transport companies, which are not listed (based on the customer's preference) 

  • Then apply for the service by filling the electronic application form (select new application) and attach the required documents.

  • Check DM reply (Approval/Incomplete/Rejection) within 3 working days through SMS/ email/ login to Dubai Municipality website.

  • Pay the service fees after receiving the approval (for the categories nonexempt from service fees)•    Download the permit to obtain Agricultural Soil by login to Dubai Municipality website.

  • Send a copy of the permit to the transport company to start collecting the agricultural soil from the site.

Documents Required to apply for a Permit to obtain Agricultural Soil in Dubai

For Individuals:

  1. Copy of the affection plan in case issued by other authority than DM.

For Government Entities and Private Companies:

  1. Copy of the affection plan in case issued by other authority than DM.
  2. Copy of the project plan/landscaping project plan in case the affection plan not available (applicable only for projects related to RTA / DEWA / others).

  • 3 working days

Fees Required to apply for a Permit to obtain Agricultural Soil in Dubai

  • 5 AED/cubic meter of agricultural soil (Excluding Transportation Charges). The following categories are exempt from service fees:

    •  Private residence of UAE citizen.

    •  Dubai Government Entities.

    •  Farms and palaces of Their Highnesses Sheikhs.

    •  Horse and camel racing tracks.

  • Knowledge and Innovation Fees: AED 20.

Terms and Conditions to apply for a Permit to obtain Agricultural Soil in Dubai

For individuals: 

  • The application shall be submitted by the landowner.

For Government Entities and Private Companies:

  • The application shall be submitted by the beneficiary entity (Landowner). 

  • In case the application will be submitted by a representative, an official letter from the beneficiary entity (Landowner).

To obtain an additional quantity of soil, a new application shall be submitted through Dubai Municipality website.
Is there any soil transportation company approved by Dubai Municipality?
There is no company approved by Dubai Municipality for transporting the agricultural soil. However, a list of DED licensed transportation companies are provided in Service Process and Steps section for easy reference. Be informed that in case the transport company failed to provide the service as agreed between two parties, Environmental Sustainability Department is not responsible for any complaints.
Is it possible to change the Plot number/location mentioned in the application after issuance of agricultural soil permit?
No, it’s not possible.
Is it possible to change the transport company after the permit is approved and the service fee is paid?
Yes, it is possible by following the same step provided in Service Process and Steps section, select “amend” and then “permit number”.
How to calculate the quantity and cost of agricultural soil in the system?
The system provides a mechanism for calculating the amount of agricultural soil based on the plant type and its number or area.
