How to apply to connect to the Recycled Water Networks in Dubai ?

This service enables you to obtain a permit to connect to irrigation networks and obtain recycled water. After taking necessary approvals, the client will hire one of the approved contractor by Dubai Municipality to construct the irrigation connection works. Please note that the cost of the construction will be under client responsibility.

How to apply to connect to the Recycled Water Networks in Dubai?

  • Apply for the service through the available channels.

  • Check Dubai Municipality's reply (Approved/Rejected).

  • Contact with approved contractors to execute the work.

Time Required

  • 5 working days

Fees required to connect to the Recycled Water Networks in Dubai

  • The fees are determined based on the signed contract between the approved contractor and the entity that requested the service.

After the completion of the connection service, the monthly fees of the recycled water usage is:

  • Two and a half fills (0.025 AED) for each square meter of the total area of the land for farms and villas.

  • Half fills (0.005 AED) for each gallon of recycled water used for other than farms and villas.

Terms and Conditions to connect to the Recycled Water Networks in Dubai

(Nurseries):

  • The order will be cancelled after two weeks from the issuance of the payment voucher if the delivery value is not paid

  • A monthly amount will be charged to the customer after connecting the irrigation water directly whether the water is used or not

  • The approval is subject to the conditions for delivering the treated irrigation water

  • The delivery will begin after obtaining the necessary NOCs from the service departments in Dubai. 

  • It is prohibited to use treated wastewater to water animals and livestock.

  • It is preferable to install automatic irrigation systems for cultivated areas in order to reduce the consumption of recycled water.

  • It is strictly forbidden for the villa owner to carry out delivery procedures to another beneficiary.  

  • The customer shall pay the cost of works to the contractor appointed by the consumer for materials, installation, etc.

  • We would like to bring to the attention of the consumers that the irrigation water is treated sewage effluent, which is prone to growth of algae and odor in the lake/storage tank. Therefore, it is advisable to take necessary measures to control algae growth and odor.

  • There should be a water storage tank with a capacity of at least one-day water requirement.

  • There should be unrestricted access to Dubai Municipality irrigation maintenance staff to the proposed connection chamber and control panel if they are located within the consumer's plot boundary. 

  • It is mandatory to arrange alternative source of supply for irrigation in summer, in case of shortage of supply from DM irrigation lines. DM may close the supply line in summer if necessary.

(Villas  & Farms):

  • Delivery begins after obtaining the necessary NOCs from the service departments in Dubai.
