How to apply for Student Parking Permit from RTA in Dubai?

This service enables you to obtain a parking permit for students of higher education institutions in Dubai for the parking plots with codes A, B, C, and D surrounding the premises of the educational institution within a radius of 500m.

Eligibility Criteria

Students of higher education institutions in Dubai can apply for this service.

Documents Required

1. An official attestation from the higher education institution certifying that the applicant is a current student

2. Driving licence of the applicant

3. Ownership of the vehicle/Mulkiya pertaining to the applicant, or any of his first or second degree relatives.

How to apply for Student Parking Permit from RTA in Dubai?

Through Website

• The customer logs in to RTA website.

• The customer selects Apply for a Student Parking Permit.

• The customer clicks Apply Now.

• The customer selects Student Parking Permit.

• The customer fills the required details and uploads the required documents.

• The customer receives RTA's response (approval/rejection) through SMS.

• A virtual permit is issued allowing the customer to park around the education institution area only.

• The customer receives an SMS with the permit details.

Through Customer Happiness Centres

• The customer submits the required documents at the centre.

• The customer receives RTA's approval through SMS.

• The customer settles the required fees and receives the permit from the centre.

• The customer receives through SMS and e-mail the receipt and the details of the permit.

Fees Required

• 30 days: 100 AED

• 3 months: 300 AED

• 6 months: 600 AED

• 12 months: 1,200 AED

• +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

Time Required

2 working days.

Validity

30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.

• The permit can be linked to one vehicle only.
