How to apply for a certificate of change of vehicle possession in Dubai?

This service enables you to change the possession of a vehicle to a new owner.

Eligibility Criteria

Individual customers, citizens and residents, and companies are eligible to apply for this service.

Documents Required

For individuals

1. Copy of the passport or the original Emirates ID if the customer does not have a traffic file

2. Reference number of the electronic possession certificate.

For companies

1. Official letter in Arabic from the company

2. Copy of the trade licence

3. Endorsement of signature and authorisation.

4. Memorandum of Association for LLC companies that carry out vehicle trading activities

5. Reference number of the electronic possession certificate.

How to apply for a certificate of change of vehicle possession in Dubai?

• The customer heads to the front desk employee.

• The employee sends a link to the customer.

• The customer uploads the required documents through the link.

• The customer receives the transaction code.

• The customer submits the transaction code to the front desk employee to complete the service process, check and electronically sign the application.

• The customer settles the required fees.

• The customer receives the receipt and the electronic certificate through SMS and e-mail.

Fees Required

• 100 AED certificate fees

• 50 AED selling agreement fees

• +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

Time Required

• 3 minutes.

Validity

• Permanent.

Terms and Conditions

• The customer or the legal representative must be present in person.

• The customer is required to settle all the traffic fines before receiving this service.
