I partially agree with the answer herein a person given. Wrong surname of mother doesn't going to make any problem. Because passport is just a travel document and it is not a proof identity or nationality or citizenship document. No need to make change the wrong surname of your mother unless you are a minor.

Just the Wrong surname of your Mother does not make your passport invalid. Passport is basically an identification proof of the holder to confirm their nationality.

So far it contains the right name and birth date of the holder it's totally fine.
