Can I still open my SBI account as I am below 18 and I don't have pan card?

Yes, you can open a savings bank account with State Bank of India (SBI) even if you are below 18 years of age and do not have a PAN card. SBI offers a special savings bank account for minors, known as the Pehla Kadam and Pehli Udaan account.

To open a Pehla Kadam and Pehli Udaan account with SBI, you need to visit the nearest SBI branch along with your parent or guardian, who will act as a joint account holder. You will also need to provide the following documents:

Age proof: You can provide any of the following documents as age proof - birth certificate, school leaving certificate, passport, or Aadhaar card.

Identity proof: You can provide any of the following documents as identity proof - Aadhaar card, passport, or school ID card.

Address proof: You can provide any of the following documents as address proof - Aadhaar card, passport, or school ID card.

Note that as a minor, you will not be required to provide a PAN card for opening a savings bank account with SBI. However, once you turn 18 years of age and start earning income, you will be required to apply for a PAN card as per the Income Tax laws of India.

Please consult with nearest SBI branch at the earliest.
