മാതാപിതാക്കളിൽ ഒരാൾ ജനറൽ കാറ്റഗറിയും മറ്റൊരാൾ എസ് സി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എസ് ടി ആണെങ്കിൽ അവരുടെ മക്കൾക്ക് എസ് സി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എസ് ടി വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെട്ടവരാണ് എന്നുള്ള ജാതി സർട്ടിഫിക്കത്തിന് വേണ്ടി അപേക്ഷികാവുന്നതാണ്.

അങ്ങനെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചാൽ തന്നെയും അപേക്ഷയിൽ ഏത് ജാതിയാണോ അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത് ആ ജാതി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആ സമുദായം ഈ അപേക്ഷകനെ അംഗീകരിച്ചിരിക്കണം എന്നൊരു വ്യവസ്ഥ ഉണ്ട്.

അത് കൂടാതെ ഈ അപേക്ഷകൻ ആ ജാതിയുടെ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മതത്തിന്റെ ആചാര അനുഷ്ടാനങ്ങൾ follow ചെയ്‌തു ജീവിച്ചുവരുന്നത് എന്നുള്ളത് തെളിയിക്കണം. അതിനുവേണ്ടി വില്ലജ് ഓഫീസറുടെ റിപ്പോർട്ടുകളും അയൽ സാക്ഷി സ്റ്റേറ്റ്മെൻറ്സും ഉണ്ടാകണം.

അതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ ഈ പറയുന്ന അപേക്ഷകൻ എസ് സി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എസ് ടി എന്നുള്ള ക്ലൈമാണ് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത് എങ്കിൽ അവർ ആ സമുദായത്തിന്റെ സാമ്പത്തികവും സാമൂഹികവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപരവും ആയിട്ടുള്ള പിന്നോക്കാവസ്ഥയിലുള്ള അവസ്ഥ അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ആളായിരിക്കണം.

If one of the parents belongs to General Category and the other belongs to SC or ST, their children can apply for caste certificate stating that they belong to SC or ST category.
