Do I need to have NOC from Punjab or can I drive my Punjab registered vehicle for 11-12 months without any issues in Pune? I know traffic police can stop but i will be keeping the toll tax of Punjab and Maharastra border for proof.

NOC is required only at the time of Vehicle Re-registration and Ownership Transfer. NOC has a validity of 6 months. So if you take NOC, then you need to get it re-registered in MH within that period.
However, you can pay road tax at any time in Maharashtra irrespective of this 11-12 month period. For this, NOC is not required.
So, even if you show proof of toll plaza receipts, traffic police can ask you to pay road tax anytime.

No need to get noc for 6 months. You can pay temporary tax or else u can say you on visit.
