Under the Widow/ Destitute Women Pension Scheme in Punjab, financial assistance is granted to Widows/Destitute Women of the age below 58 years and unmarried women above the age of 30 years. Total annual income should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- including business or rental or interest income. Eligibility Criteria for Widow/ Destitute Women Scheme

Following documents are required for widow/ destitute women scheme.

  • The applicant must be a citizen of Punjab

  • The age of the applicant should be below 58 years for Widow & Destitute. Above 30 years for Unmarried women.

  • Total annual Income should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- including business or rental or interest income.

Following are the documents required for widow/destitute scheme in Punjab.

  • Judgment of court or panchayat / Divorce Deed ( In case applied by Divorced Women)

  • Date of Birth Proof of Widow/Destitute Women, who wants to avail widow/destitute pension A. Aadhar Card and B. Voter Card or Voter List or Birth Certificate or Matriculation Certificate

  • First page of Passbook

  • Copy of UDID Card/ Disability Certificate and Self Declaration (Only in case applied by Destitute Women whose Husband is disabled)

  • Copy of FIR (In case applied by Destitute whose Husband is missing)

  • Death Certificate of Husband (In case of widow )

  • Self-Declaration

  • Proof of husband's Missing/Divorced/Unmarried (Recommendation mentioned as per application form or if any proof avialable be attached)

  • Proof of husband is mentally or physically unable to earn (Certificate from Medical Officer on the Application or Separate Certificate from Medical Officer/Surgeon)

  • Proof of BPL (BPL Card)

  • Recommendation mentioned as per application form

  • Photo and Signature (Applicant Photo and Scan or Electronic Signature)

Follow the below steps to register on Punjab connect portal.

  • Visit Punjab Connect Portal.

  • Click on ‘Citizen Login’.

  • Click on ‘Don’t have an account? Register Now’

  • A registration form will open on your screen.

  • Fill the required details like name, email, mobile number.

  • Select your gender.

  • Enter a password.

  • Tick the checkbox.

  • Click on ‘Register’.

  • An OTP will be sent on the entered mobile number. Enter the OTP.

  • An OTP will be sent on the entered email address. Enter theOTP.

  • Click on ‘Validate’.
