The main purpose of the Mother Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambal Yojana is to encourage under this Yojana, the women who are helpless in upbringing their children (like widows, destitute) are provided with financial assistance per child per annum for two children.

Benefits under Mother Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambal Yojana

Following are the benefits under Mother Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambal Yojana.

• Financial assistance of Rs. 4,000/- per child per year is provided to destitute women/parents who are BPL or whose income is less than Rs. 35,000/- per year

• This assistance is limited to Rs 4,000 per child per year only for two children and stops when the child completes 18 years of age.

Eligibility Criteria for Mother Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambal Yojana

Following are the eligibility criteria for Mother Teresa Asahaya Matri Sambal Yojana.

• Destitute women living below the poverty line or such destitute women whose annual income does not exceed Rs 35,000/-, selected by the Rural Development Department/Urban Development Department.

• Parents of orphan children living below the poverty line or parents of orphan children whose annual income does not exceed Rs 35,000/-, selected by the Rural Development Department/Urban Development Department.

• Panchayat Resolution copy for selection of beneficiary

• Photocopy of Bonafide Himachali Certificate

• BPL Certificate

• Proof of Date of Birth of the children

• Proof of Death of Parents (for orphan Children)

• Proof of Annual Family Income of applicant

• Affidavit by Mother
