Yes, you can get registration on your residential address if you can store the stock at your house.
If you are selling through Amazon FBA in different warehouses across the country, then you have to take registration in each such state where you are shipping stock to the warehouse.
If you are just starting a business, then I would recommend starting from 1 location only.
