തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്ന മരാമത്ത് നിർമ്മാണ പ്രവൃത്തിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള ടെൻഡർ രജിസ്റ്റർ, എഗ്രിമെന്റ് രജിസ്റ്റർ, ലെവൽ ഫീൽഡ് ബുക്കുകൾ, എം ബുക്കുകൾ, ബിറ്റുമിൻ സ്റ്റോക്ക് രജിസ്റ്റർ എന്നിവയുടെ കോപ്പികൾ _Public Record_ വിഭാഗത്തിലാണ്. ആയതുകൊണ്ട് Kerala Panchayath Raj Act (Execution of Public Works) 1997 Section 17 (4) പ്രകാരവും, KPR (Custody of Records and Issue of Copy) Rules (V) 1998 Section 4 (1) പ്രകാരവും നിശ്ചിത ഫീസ് അടച്ച് "Form 1" ൽ അപേക്ഷിച്ചാൽ ഏതൊരു പൗരനും ലഭിക്കും.

Section 14 (1) തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനത്തിലെ എൻജിനീയർ മരാമത്ത് പണികൾക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന സാധനങ്ങളുടെ ഗുണനിലവാരം പരിശോധിച്ച് ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നേരിട്ടുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്വത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കണം പണികൾ നടക്കേണ്ടത്.

പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ/ മുൻസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയിലെ/ കോർപ്പറേഷനിലെ ഏതൊരു വോട്ടർക്കും Section 14 (4) പ്രകാരം നിർമ്മാണ പ്രവർത്തികൾ പരിശോധിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും. വേറെ അധികാരപത്രത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യമില്ല. തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾക്ക് KPR (Professional Relationship and Conduct between Elected Authorities and Officers) Rules, 2007 Section 4 പ്രകാരം പഞ്ചായത്ത് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാർക്ക് നിയമപ്രകാരമുള്ള നിർദേശങ്ങൾ നൽകുവാനും, പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ അധീനതയിലുള്ള രേഖകൾ (നിയമതടസ്സങ്ങളില്ലാത്തവ) പരിശോധിക്കുവാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെടാനുള്ള അധികാരം ഉണ്ട്.

കേരള മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റി ആക്ട് പ്രകാരവും വികസനപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട രേഖകൾ അതാത് നിയോജകമണ്ഡലത്തിലെ കൗൺസിലർക്ക് നൽകുവാൻ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ ബാധ്യസ്ഥരാണ്.
