YSR Kanti Velugu Scheme is introduced to provide comprehensive and sustainable Universal Eye Care to all the people(5 crores) in the state by conducting eye screening and provision of appropriate interventions like distribution of Spectacles, Surgeries in case of Cataract, Glaucoma, Retinopathy, corneal disorders etc in a Phased manner. Under the scheme, the government will bear the entire cost from preliminary eye check-up to surgeries wherever required for the entire 54 million population
Free of cost, accessibility and quality are the key areas in provision of services.

The implementation of the YSR Kanti Velugu Scheme will happen in several phases. All those phases under the YSR Kanti Velugu scheme are as follows:
