The Santhwana scheme is launched for the returned NRKs(Non-Resident Keralite) in distress.

Benefits of Santhwana Scheme

The benefit of the Santhwana scheme are;

• Financial assistance to meet the medical treatment expenses of the NRK or his dependant family members.

• Death assistance to family members of the NRK.

• Marriage expenses of the daughter of the NRK returnee.

• To buy artificial limbs, crutches, wheelchairs or other aids to overcome the physical disability.

• Financial Assistance.

• Death Compensation: INR.1,00,000/-

• Assistance for treatment of serious medical conditions(Cancer, surgical treatment of heart, chronic/serious kidney disease, brain haemorrhage paralysis, severe disabilities due to various accidents): INR. 50,000/-

• Treatment of other kinds of diseases: INR. 20,000/-

• Assistance towards marriage related expenses: INR.15,000/-

• Wheel Chair, Crunches, artificial limbs: INR. 10,000/-

Eligibility Criteria of Santhwana Scheme

The eligibility for the Santhwanam scheme is listed below.

• Santhwanam  Financial Assistance is provided to NRK returnees having a minimum period of service of two years abroad or outside the State.

• The period after return or death of NRK should not be exceeded the period of his working in a foreign country or ten years whichever is shorter.

• The applicant has an annual family income below INR.1,00,000/-.

• Income Certificate Documents Required as per the category of financial aid.

Medical Assistance

• Marriage Certificate.

• Relationship certificate.

Death Assistance

• Death certificate.

• Identity proof of the applicant.

Marriage Assistance

• Any proof of the proposed marriage is like an invitation letter.

• Marriage Certificate.

• Relationship certificate.

Purchase of Artificial Limbs, Crutches.

• Disability Certificate from Medical Board.

• A prescription from the doctor.
