പോക്കുവരവ് എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ഒരു തണ്ടപേര് ഉടമയുടെ പേരിലുള്ള സർവ്വേ നമ്പറിൽ ഉള്ള ഭൂമി അതിൽ നിന്ന് കുറച്ചോ മൊത്തത്തിലോ മറ്റൊരാൾക് വില്പനയിലൂടെയോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പിന്തുടർച്ച അവകാശം വഴിയോ ഒരാളുടെ പേരിൽ നിന്ന് മറ്റൊരാളുടെ പേരിലേക് രേഖകളിൽ മാറ്റുന്ന പ്രക്രിയയ്ക് ആണ് പോക്കുവരവ് എന്ന് പറയുന്നത്. അതായത് ഒരാളുടെ പേരിൽ നിന്ന് "പോകുന്നു" മറ്റൊരാളുടെ പേരിലേക് "വരുന്നു".
