What is the service required for giving pension in case of death of the member?

The minimum service of 10 contributory years is only for payment of pension to a member. It is not applicable, where a member dies. In case of death of a member, The family pension and child pension is payable even after receiving one month’s contribution (including part of the month) for Pension Fund.
