Yes,

A registered business has to register itself in each state where its branch/office is there or from where any business is carried out. 

In your case, your products shall be stored and shipped from the Amazon FBA warehouse, hence it will be treated as a place where business is carried out.

While applying for a GST Number in Tamil Nadu, you have to mention your existing GSTIN and the appropriate reason for applying for registration. You have to apply using the same PAN card used for earlier registration.
