You cannot caste your vote if your name is not there in the Voter ID list.

Your name could be missing from the voters' list for several reasons. The Election Commission considers the data you gave it at the time of your enrolment as a voter and it considers the same data at the time of the elections in your constituency. Change in constituency or address can also lead to the removal of your name from the voters' list.
If your name is missing from the voters' list and you need to register again. However, you will have to act fast because the Election Commission accepts voters' enrollment 15 days prior to the last day of filing of the candidates' nominations to contest the elections.
