കേരളത്തിൽ വിവാഹ രജിസ്ട്രേഷനുവേണ്ടി തദ്ദേശ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്ക് ബാധകമായിട്ടുള്ളത് ചുവടെ പറയുന്ന മൂന്ന് വിവാഹ രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷൻ നിയമങ്ങളാണ്.
 
(1) 2008 ലെ കേരള വിവാഹങ്ങൾ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്യൽ (പൊതു) ചട്ടങ്ങൾ.
 
(2) 2014 ലെ കേരള ആനന്ദ് മാര്യേജ് രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷൻ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ
 
(3) 1957 ലെ കേരള ഹിന്ദു  മാര്യേജ് രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷൻ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ.
 
ഈ മൂന്നു ചട്ടങ്ങൾ പ്രകാരവും വിവാഹങ്ങൾ അതാത് തദ്ദേശ ഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ പരിധിയിൽ വച്ച് നടന്നതാണെങ്കിലേ  തദ്ദേശ ഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്ക് അവ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത് നല്കാൻ കഴിയുകയുള്ളൂ. താങ്കളുടെ കേസിൽ താങ്കളുടെ വിവാഹം ഏതെങ്കിലും വിവാഹ നിയമങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് നടന്നിട്ടുള്ളതാണെങ്കിൽ വിവാഹം നടന്ന സ്ഥലത്തെ (കോയമ്പത്തൂരിലെ) വിവാഹ രജിസ്ട്രാർക്ക് അത് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് നല്കാൻ കഴിയും. വിവാഹം നടന്ന സ്ഥലത്തെ രജിസ്ട്രാർ/സബ് രജിസ്ട്രാർ  ഓഫീസിൽ അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിയ ശേഷം അതനുസരിച്ചു അപേക്ഷ നൽകുക.
