The Death certificate is produced in another state and also the legal hiers are the resident of another state, will it cause a problem? 3. While filling the form 31, what should be filled as address, the permanent residence or the business place?

Please find below the answer to your queries.

  1. Copy of Registered Rent Agreement or an affidavit made before Notary should be enough as an address proof.

  2. In case of ownership transfer, you need to submit a copy of death certificate and Affidavit by the applicant and from the other legal heirs to this effect of relinquishing their right in favor of the applicant. It will not cause any problems.

  3. Address of the person succeeding to the possession of the vehicle must be mentioned. If the person is staying in a rented building within the jurisdiction of that RTO, you can provide the address mentioned in the rent agreement for the same.
