If you satisfy the following criteria, then you are eligible for the Dr.Muthulakshmi Maternity Benefit scheme.

  • Applicant should be a citizen of India and permanent resident of Tamil Nadu

  • Applicant should have completed 19 yrs of age

  • The applicant should belong to the BPL family.

  • Available only for first 2 deliveries

  • The Pregnant mother should register her pregnancy before 12 weeks with the VHN / UHN or she should have pre-registered her pregnancy before 12 weeks.

To track the status of your payment, contact the nearest Village Health Nurse (VHN) / Urban Health Nurse (UHN) at the nearest Primary Health Centre where you have registered for the scheme.
