The Khata extract and Khata certificate are different.

The khata extract and Khata certificate are documents provide by BBMP to the owner of property to assess the taxes for the property.

Khata Certificate:

The Khata certificate is a document that identifies the ownership of a property. It is provided to a taxpayer for registering a new property and transferring of resale property. Khata certificate is mandatory for availing the various amenities like water, electricity, trade license, building license, etc.
