Is it necessary to renew a fitness certificate for my bike purchased 2 years back?

When you register your bike 2 years back, fitness certificate was granted for 15 years. So you don't need to renew it now.

The private vehicle fitness is granted for 15 years initially at the time of registration and then renewed it's fitness for the next 5years subsequently.
