MATIAPADA Revenue Village is situated under JUNEI (ଜୁଣେଇ ) RI circle  of GOP Tahasil office in the district of Puri.

MATIAPADA is a small Village/hamlet in Gop Tehsil in Puri District of Odisha State, India. It is located 31 KM towards East from District head quarters Puri. 46 KM from State capital Bhubaneswar

Matiapada is surrounded by Nimapada Tehsil towards North , Kakat Pur Tehsil towards East , Satyabadi Tehsil towards west , Balipatna Tehsil towards North .

This Tahasil is a coastal Tahasil in the eastern part of Odisha embraced by Bay of Bengal having rich cost line. The Tahasil has been created on bifurcation from Nimapara Tahasil in 2008. The name has been derived from mythology of Mahabharat, covering an area of Ac.75,065.819 dec. The Tahasil has a camp office of Additional Tahasildar at Konark.

The jurisdiction of this Tahasil extends over 231 revenue villages 14 RI circles. The Tahasil area covers 31 GPs in full and one in part of Gop Block. 6 (Six) Police stations namely Gop, Konark, Ramachandi, Chandrabhaga Marine, Puri Sadar(part) & Penthakata Marine PS (part) come within this Tahasil. The Tahasil area is surrounded by Bay of Bengal in the south & east, Nimapara & Kakatapur Tahasil in north, Puri Tahasil in the west. The Tahasil office is at Bayakuda which is exactly by the side of Pipili-Konark road at a distance of about 40 km from district headquarters.

The Tahasil drained by two rivers namely Kushabhadra and Kadua, Which helps in sustaining the agriculture. The major agricultural seasons are Rabi & Kharif. Being close proximity to Bay of Bengal, it is influenced by tropical climate and hazards of cyclonic storms.
