If I cancel ticket 8 days before departure what charges will be deducted ?

If you cancel a ticket 46 hour before the schedule departure of train then normal cancellation charges will apply. And If you cancel a confirmed ticket within 48 hours and up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, ticket cancellation charges will be 25% of the fare. From: Indian Train
