Please note that FASTag is linked only to the registration number of the car, irrespective of who recharges it or whose account it is linked.
You can call up the Axis Bank Customer care number to deactivate your FASTag. Post that, the security amount and remaining balance will be transferred to your husband's account.

Answered on March 14,2024I applied for a new Fastag from the bank , right now it is showing as Active (not Blacklisted) in their website but did not received a physical card yet and said it will take 10 working days to receive physical but i got a requirement to travel immediately. so in this case , can i purchase instant fastag at toll plaza and start using? can i deactivate bank issued Fastag once i received it?
Shall contact the issuer bank to expedite the delivery, and process to surrender the tag on as is basis.
