I brought a bike from TN. The owner of the vehicle has expired and his total family moved to abroad. Bike is with me now in Bangalore.I have the original RC book and the insurance is still alive.I would love to make it totally road legal and ride without worries on the road. Is there any way?

As you have original RC and insurance you can ride the bike unless they don't have any objection or complaint on you. if you have purchased it from them, if it is TN Registration you have to contact TN RTO for transfer of ownership as Form 29 and 31 is mandatory from the owner or first it has to be transferred to wife name and then it can be transferred to your name by submitting documents like family tree, NOC, death Certificate, Affidavit etc all these procedure are done and transferred to your name then your totally legal and ride without worried on the road. There is no other way then mentioned above.

For a short duration of time, I was in Bangalore. During that time, I paid the road tax in Janbharathi ( KA41), Bangalore for lifetime tax.Now its time for reregistration of bike. In the Parivahan website, its showing vehicle is registered under two RTO's.How to cancel the registration details from Bangalore RTO? The registration number is still KL only.

Now, the RC expired in June 2015 and bike continues to be in Chennai, unable to be renewed as RTO says I need to cancel NOC in KA. I would like to know which option is better and cost effective ? a) Receive NoC cancellation from KA (Fine ? ) and renew RC in Chennai b) Take bike to KA and apply for Re-Registration with Old NoC - expecting hefty fine, Road Tax etc. (Fine per month post NoC expiry would help) Limitation : In Chennai, unable to get PUC with invalid RC
Get "not registered" letter from KA and TN RTO only can help you in this issue.
