I am from UP but I work in Jammu for 17 years. Can I apply for domicile for me and my son who was born 1 month back?

To the best of my knowledge, you  are eligible to get domicile certificate from Jammu and Kashmir as you meet the eligibility criteria of 

Person who has resided for a period of fifteen years in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir or has studied for a period of seven years and appeared in Class 10th /12th examination in an educational institution located in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir; 

Also, your son is eligible to receive it as the children of parents who fulfill the above condition receives it.

Also, please note that you cannot keep domicile of 2 States/Union Territories (UP and J&K). It is an offense to do so.

Please keep the following documents ready to get the Domicile Certificate.
