How to obtain Clearance Certificate (CC)/No Objection Certificate (NOC) in the event of Sale/Removal of vehicle outside Himachal Pradesh?

  • SALE OR REMOVAL OF VEHICLE WITHIN THE STATE: If the owner desires to remove or sell his/her vehicle outside the jurisdiction of Registering Authority within the State. Owner shall file the application on plain paper for issue of clearance certificate with the Registering Authority where the vehicle is registered along with the following documents: viz. Registration Certificate, Insurance Certificate, Tax Card, Permit and Fitness Certificate (in case of transport vehicle) and shall be responsible for clearing tax arrears.
  • SALE OR REMOVAL OF VEHICLE OUTSIDE THE STATE: If the owner desires to remove or sell his vehicle outside the jurisdiction of registering authority within the State. Owner shall file the application in form CMV FORM 28 in quadruplicate (4 copies) for issue of No Objection Certificate with the registering authority where the vehicle is registered along with the following documents: viz. Registration Certificate, Insurance Certificate, Tax Card, Permit and Fitness Certificate (in case of transport vehicle) and shall be responsible for clearing tax arrears. No Objection Certificate will be issued after obtaining a report in writing from the Police Authorities that no case relating to theft of the motor vehicle.
