How to get Warehouse Licence for Private warehouse/Co-operative from Agricultural Marketing Department in Karnataka?






Name of the Department: Agricultural Marketing Department.

Name of the Service: Warehouse License for Private warehouse/Co-operative Societies.

Whom to approach for this service (Designated Officer)?: District Deputy/Assistant Director, Agricultural Marketing Department.

Procedure involved to get this service: Application to be submitted in Form No1 of Karnataka Warehouses Rules 1969.

Who are eligible to get this service: Any person or institution who owns the warehouse.

Documents to be enclosed with the request:

1 . Layout plan of the proposed place to be enclosed.

2 . Capacity of the warehouse to be shown in form no.1

3 . License fee under rule 4 and rule 8 of karnataka warehouses rules 1969 to be remitted to the head of account 1475-00-800-1-03. challan copy of the same to be enclosed to the application.

4 . Certified copy of the storage charges to be enclosed to the application.

5 . Security deposit in cash or government securities to be submitted as per rule 7 of karnataka warehouses rules, 1969.

6 . Surety bond to be enclosed as per rule 7 of karnataka warehouses rules, 1969.

7 . Insurance policy bond obtained as per rule 18 of the karnataka warehouses rules, 1969 to be enclosed.

8 . Solvency certificate to be enclosed.

9 . For obtaining a fresh license, a national saving certificate / bank guarantee should be given. The National Saving Certificate should be pledged in the name of additional director (administration), Department of Agricultural Marketing, Bangalore.

10 . In case of co-operative institutions, if they are not able to furnish National Saving Certificate, security deposit obtained from the post office may be submitted and it should be pledged in the name of Additional Director (administration), Department of Agricultural Marketing, Bangalore.

Fee/Charges to be paid to get the service: License fee under Rule 4 and Rule 8 of Karnataka Warehouses Rules 1969.

Maximum number of days to wait to get this service delivered: 45 Working Days.

Whom to approach as an appeal (Competent Officer), if the service is not delivered in time or rejected by an officer: Additional Director (admin) Agricultural Marketing Department.

Maximum number of days to wait to get the decision of the Competent Officer: 15 Working Days.

Whom to approach as 2nd appeal (Appellate Authority), if the decision of the Competent officer is not acceptable or not implemented?: Director, Agricultural Marketing Department.

Maximum no. of days to wait to get the decision of Appellate Authority: 30 Working Days.
