How to get new license to manufacturer/ dealer/ repairer of Weights and Measures State Jurisdiction from Department of Legal Metrology in Karnataka?

Procedure involved to get this service

1.The applicant has to log on to www.emapan.karnataka.gov.in.

2.Create an user ID and password.

3.Click on to apply for new license.

4.Fill the required details.

5.Upload the scanned documents and photo.

6.Submit the application.

7.The Inspecting Officer will inspect the premises and verify the original documents.

8.DD for Rs.3000 for Manufacturer or Rs.2000 for Dealer or Rs.1000 for Repairer in favour of Controller of Legal Metrology, Bangalore has to be submitted to the concerned Inspecting Officer.

9.Inspecting Officer will forward the on line application to concerned Controller.

10.Controller will issue the License

1 . Trade license

2 . Ownership deed and tax receipt if the premises is owned by applicant or rental agreement if the premises is rented by applicant and NOC certificate from owner of building

3 . GST certificate

4 . Model approval letter and details of products to be manufactured in office letter head

5 . Partnership deed if operating in partnership

6 . Memorandum of association or articles of association if operating in partnership or limited

7 . Skilled work certificate

Maximum number of days to wait to get this service delivered 60 Working Days
Whom to approach as a appeal (Competent Officer), if the service is not delivered in time or rejected by officer Deputy Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology Department
Maximum number of days to wait to get the decision of the Competent Officer 15 Working Days
Whom to approach as 2nd appeal (Appellate Authority), if the decision of the Competent officer is not acceptable or not implemented? Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology Department
