Two types of maternity plans are available;
1) Most Insurers usually provide one with 2-3 year waiting period, where husband n wife should be covered under the plan during this period.
2) Certain special plans with Future Generali and Care Health (previous Religare) provides Maternity coverage with just 8 Months Waiting.
Also, if have a insurance from your employer (company insurance) then there is a good chance you already have a ready to use 50k under maternity benefit.
